Winnie
Every Offshore is pressed, finished and tuned by hand in our factory in Niseko, Japan.
Old school shape, with a new school construction.
An all-mountain shape built for critical turns and smooth landings, designed with legendary snowboarder Russell Winfield. The nose and tail run the same length, but the geometry is tuned to accentuate powder turns when you ride regular and steady you when you land switch. An old-school shape, built with new-school tech.
The Winnie is the board you can ride anywhere, any day. Mellow Camber keeps the pop, grip and familiar camber feel through the centre, while subtle flat sections through the nose and tail make it a little more forgiving and free. The directional twin shape lets you ride switch with confidence, while a touch of setback and tuned geometry bring real float and better powder turns riding regular. The fast base holds speed easily across changing snow.
An old-school outline with a new-school build underneath. It just works, everywhere.
Crafted by us, customised by you.
Your name. Your design. Pressed into a hand-crafted board that didn't exist before you ordered it.
The iD is made the same way every Offshore board is made. The highest quality materials, hand-crafted in Moiwa by people who chose quality and joy over everything else. By the time it leaves, it has a wooden core, carbon, resin, fibreglass, and you, pressed into the kind of board people ask about at the bottom of the lift.
That's the iD. Made once, for you.

What’s Inside
The Intention
The Winnie was designed with Russell Winfield, one of snowboarding's true legends. The idea was to take a classic all-mountain shape and build it the modern OFSR way. Same length nose and tail, but with geometry that favours your powder turns riding regular and steadies you landing switch. Mellow Camber keeps the familiar response, pop and edge hold underfoot, while subtle flat sections through the nose and tail give the board a little more freedom when you want to move around on it. A fast base built to carry speed. Familiar in outline, thoroughly modern underneath.
How It Rides
The Winnie feels familiar from the first turn. Mellow Camber keeps the centre of the board loaded with pop, grip and drive, while the flatter sections through the nose and tail let the ends move a little more freely. It feels locked in when you lean on an edge, snappy when you load it up, but forgiving enough to butter, press and move around without feeling overly demanding. The directional twin shape makes switch feel natural, while the tail stays steady on landings. When the snow softens, the setback and geometry lift the nose and open up your powder turns. The fast base holds speed through changing snow and across flatter sections. Nothing about it feels dated. It just feels right, everywhere on the mountain.
The Rider
For the all-mountain rider who wants one board that does it all. Someone who rides switch as happily as regular, carves firm snow and goes looking for soft snow when it arrives. Confident, well-rounded, in it for the long haul. Intermediate through expert. A classic all-mountain shape, built to last.
The Terrain
Firm groomers. Soft snow. Trees, side hits and switch landings wherever you find them. The Winnie handles the whole mountain with the same easy confidence, day after day, season after season.

Flex Options
Soft
5 / 10
Regular
7 / 10
Stiff
9 / 10
Same shape, three layups. Soft is forgiving and playful. Regular is the most ridden. Stiff drives harder at speed.
Camber: Mellow Camber
Mellow camber underfoot, flat sections in the nose and tail. Camber in the centre keeps pop, grip, and the traditional feel, while the subtle flat sections let the nose and tail play. Locked in and snappy, but still forgiving and catch-free. Mellow Camber is for those who mean business but still like to party.
Shape: Directional Twin
The Winnie is a directional twin with equal nose and tail lengths, but different geometry at each end. Mellow Camber runs through the centre for pop, grip and drive, with subtle flat sections through the nose and tail to make the board a little more forgiving and free. Zero taper keeps the ride balanced in either direction, while 20mm of setback adds float and helps the nose work through softer snow. The result is a familiar all-mountain shape with a little more freedom at the contact points, stable on landings, precise on edge and easy to ride switch.
Same shape, three layups. The flex does not change what the shape was intended for. Only how hard you have to ask. It is the mood. The feel. There is no right or wrong. Just a preference we like to offer, made possible by building every board to order.
Soft · 5
Playful & forgiving
Easy to bend, easy to forgive. Presses and butters come cheap. It soaks up chatter and is more forgiving when a landing goes wrong. Good in tight trees, on slow days, and if you prefer a softer feel.
Regular · 7
Happy medium
The one most people ride. It holds an edge when you lean on it and lets go when you want to play. Stable enough for speed, loose enough for fun. If you are not sure which to pick, this is the answer. It is how we intended our boards to feel, and how we ride them.
Stiff · 9
Hard charging
Built for those who prefer a firmer flex. It holds a line through chop and stays calm as the speed climbs. It carves hard and rewards a strong back leg. You get back exactly what you put in. Not designed to be easy to ride. Designed to be ridden.
Tech · 01 / 05
Power Chords
Power Chords are pre-tensioned carbon tow that target the board's most critical sections, giving the rider greater control and stability when turning, landing and improving durability.

Good to Know
The questions we get most, answered straight.
The Winnie
What is the Winnie best at?
A directional twin designed with Russell Winfield, tuned to accentuate powder turns riding regular while improving switch stability. A twin with a powder soul.
Is it good on groomers and hardpack?
Yes. Mellow Camber gives strong edge hold and drive through the centre of the board, so it carves confidently on firm snow while staying a capable twin.
How is it different from the Cardiel?
Both are directional twins, built differently. The Winnie runs Mellow Camber, with flatter nose and tail sections for a more forgiving, freer feel, and is shaped to favour powder turns and switch stability. The Cardiel runs traditional camber, sits a touch wider underfoot, and is a stiffer, straighter charging twin. Winnie for pow-leaning twin riding, Cardiel for hard carving.
How do I choose my Winnie size?
Size to your normal all-mountain length based on your height, weight, and boot size. Unsure, email us and we will help.
Do I need a wide board?
If your boot is US men's 10 or larger, or 28.5cm and up, choose a Wide. The Winnie comes in W sizes. To be sure, check the waist width on the specs above or run the and match it to your boot. If your boots are very large or you need help deciding, email us and we will sort your fit.
Is my board waxed and tuned, ready to ride?
Yes. Every board is hand finished before it ships. Edges tuned to precise angles, sidewalls bevelled, base flooded with premium Japanese wax and brushed to a mirror finish. Strap in and ride.
Ordering & Shipping
How long does a board take?
Lead time is around six weeks from order, plus about two weeks for delivery if you are overseas. We make only a very limited number each year and sell out each season, so ordering early secures your board for the coming winter. There is no stock and no production line.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. Worldwide shipping is available. Wherever you are, we can get your board to you.
Can you deliver to my hotel in Japan?
Yes. We ship anywhere in Japan, including to your hotel or accommodation. Send us the details of where you are staying and we will have your board waiting for your arrival.
Do you offer tax free?
No. But if you ship outside Japan, your purchase is exempt from the 10% Japan VAT.
Can I pick up my board from the factory?
Yes. You are welcome to collect your board from our factory in Niseko. Just let us know when you will collect and we will have your board ready for you.
The Factory
Where are Offshore Snow Shapes boards made?
By hand at our factory in Niseko, Japan. Every board is hand-crafted, made to order in small numbers. Learn more about our factory in Niseko.
Can I visit the factory?
Yes. Outside winter we are open 9am to 5pm, and through winter 8am to 8pm. Come and see how the boards are made, pick up your new board, or demo one of our shapes.
Can I demo a board before I buy?
Yes. Demo boards are available at the factory for around 5,000 yen a day, and you can also demo at Rhythm in Hirafu. It is the best way to feel a shape before you order.
Can I watch my board being made?
In winter you are welcome to drop by. Walk-ins are fine and we are happy to show you around the workshop while boards are in build. Come and see how they are made.
Do you offer a free tune?
Yes. As an Offshore owner, your board includes one complimentary tune each year at our Niseko Kōjō.
We’ll confirm the board against its serial number or original purchase details when you bring it in. Additional tuning, waxing and repair work is available at our regular service rates.
Do you have a showroom?
Yes. We have a small showroom at the factory where we sell limited-edition apparel and OFSR merchandise.

Series
Information
Each season brings a new collection of Offshore graphics, designed by founder and designer Josh Monin in Niseko. New season, new art. The steady rhythm the brand was built on.
Drawing came before board building. Josh was designing long before the first Offshore was pressed, and the topsheet has always been treated as a small canvas. Composition, colour, weight and balance. The same attention given to the shape beneath it.
A Craft graphic belongs to its season. Years from now, someone will spot one on a wall and know the winter it came from.
Series
Information
Urushi is one of Japan’s oldest decorative traditions, with a history stretching back thousands of years.
For Offshore, the process begins with original artwork created by hand using genuine urushi lacquer. The finished piece is then photographed and digitised, translating its depth, movement and surface into a graphic that can be reproduced on a rideable snowboard.
The result is not a lacquered snowboard. It is a printed interpretation of the original work, made to be ridden.
A new artwork is created for the series each season.
Series
Information
SR stands for Special Release.
It is where Offshore can follow an idea without needing it to become part of the permanent collection. Some releases begin with Josh in the Niseko studio. Others begin with an artist, a collaborator or something we simply want to make once.
Numbers stay small. Some graphics appear across a short run. Others exist on a single board.
What they share is simple: once an SR is gone, it does not return.
A moment, made physical.
Series
Information
iD puts the final graphic decisions in your hands.
Choose the texture, colours, logo treatment and name, then see the design take shape as you build it.
The choices are yours. The board beneath them remains Offshore: the same shape, construction and performance, hand-crafted in Niseko.
Save a design, come back to it later, or keep working until it feels right.
Series
Information
Custom starts with your artwork.
It might be a finished design, something still taking shape, or files that need a little work before they are ready for a snowboard.
Send them through and we’ll take it from there. We refine the layout, balance colours and prepare the artwork for the proportions and production requirements of your chosen shape.
Before anything enters the Kōjō, you receive a final digital proof to approve.
Once you are happy, the artwork is prepared for sublimation and your board enters production.
From first file to final board, we stay with the details.

Made for sublimation.
Every Custom graphic is sublimated into the topsheet.
The process reproduces colour and fine detail beautifully, but not every material or effect translates. Metallic inks, screen-printed effects, resin tints and finishes that rely on reflective or physical materials cannot be reproduced through sublimation.
Colours can also appear slightly different on a snowboard topsheet than they do on a screen.
We review the artwork with you and flag anything that needs adjusting before you approve the final design.
