Every Offshore is made to order in our Niseko Kōjō, one at a time. A build usually takes four to five weeks, depending on the build schedule. The schedule fills as winter approaches, so ordering early is the best way to secure your place. Your Offshore account lets you follow key stages of the build along the way.

Yes. The Kōjō runs year-round, and we make only a limited number of boards each year. Ordering before the snow is the best way to make sure yours is ready when you need it.

By card at checkout, or by bank transfer. A bank transfer order holds your place and enters the build schedule when the transfer arrives.

Often, if the build has not reached the relevant stage. Email us as soon as you can with your order number.

Contact us as soon as you can. Every Offshore is made to order and enters the build schedule once your order is confirmed. If work on your board has not begun, we may be able to cancel it. Email us with your order number and we will check where it sits in the schedule. Once production begins, change-of-mind cancellations are not available.

Your board is built to the specifications you select, including the shape, size, flex and topsheet or series. For that reason we do not accept change-of-mind returns once a board has entered production. This does not affect your rights if your board is faulty or has a manufacturing defect, or any rights you have under applicable consumer law. For manufacturing issues, see the Warranty page. Yes. Your Offshore account lets you follow key stages of the build through to completion. We also send updates and photographs as your board moves through the Kōjō.

Yes. Personalised name printing is available through iD. Choose your texture, colours, logo and name, then design your Offshore your way.

Yes. Tell us when you are arriving or when you need your board, and we will schedule the build around that date where possible. Ordering early gives us the most flexibility.

Your weight is the starting point for length, and your boots help determine width. Every board page includes a size finder, and our Sizing Guide lists every size we make. Still unsure? Email us with your height, weight, boot size and the way you like to ride.

Wide. W sizes add width through the board for riders who need more clearance without adding unnecessary length. If you have larger boots, the size finder will help determine whether a W is right for you.

Some do. Volume-shifted shapes like the Fugu are ridden 3 to 6 cm shorter than your usual board. The Yamazaki rides 2 to 3 cm down. The size finder on each board page accounts for this.

The shape and performance stay the same. What changes is the topsheet graphic. Craft carries our seasonal graphics. Urushi is a digital interpretation of traditional Japanese lacquer artwork. SR is released in limited seasonal editions. iD lets you design your own topsheet. Custom begins with your artwork. Studio+ begins with a conversation.

No. Choose the shape for how you want to ride, then choose the series for how you want it to look. Every graphic series uses the same Offshore construction and materials for that shape.

You supply the artwork. We refine it for the snowboard, adapt it to the shape and prepare the final topsheet file with you. Once you approve it, the board enters the build schedule. Allow additional time for artwork preparation before production begins.

Studio+ is our most collaborative design process. You work directly with our founder, Josh, from the first idea through to the finished topsheet. Together, you create a one-off design that will never be repeated. If that sounds like your board, email us and we will start the conversation.

Urushi Art takes an Offshore shape and transforms it into an original lacquer artwork. Shaped in Niseko, then transformed by urushi artisans using a tradition refined over thousands of years. These are art pieces, not rideable snowboards. Only three are crafted each year, by commission.

A sintered Austrian base. German steel edges bent by hand. A vertically laminated paulownia and mountain ash core cut and profiled in-house. Poured urethane sidewalls. Japanese resin, Australian fibreglass, carbon, flax and Innegra reinforcement. Pressed one board at a time in Niseko, then tuned, waxed and finished by hand. We use the finest materials we can source, chosen for how they perform on snow.

Yes. The edges are tuned and the base is finished with two coats of premium Japanese wax, scraped and brushed by hand. Mount your bindings and go.

Yes. Offshore boards can be ordered in three flex options: Soft, Regular or Stiff.

Soft gives the board more movement and a more forgiving, playful feel. Regular is the flex we designed as the reference point for the shape, balancing response, support and ease of riding. Stiff adds more support and response for riders who ride harder, faster or prefer a more powerful feel.

Each board page explains how Soft, Regular and Stiff affect that particular shape, so you can choose the flex that best suits the way you ride.

Yes. Order ahead, tell us when you arrive, and collect directly from our Kōjō in Moiwa. Japanese consumption tax of 10% applies. There is no shipping charge.

Anywhere in Japan, including your hotel or lodge. Tax of 10% applies plus domestic shipping of ¥7,000. One charge covers boards shipping together to one address.

Yes. No Japanese tax applies to export orders. International shipping is additional and calculated at checkout using live FedEx rates. Orders may be subject to import duties and taxes charged by the destination country and payable to the courier on delivery. These are not included in the shipping price. Read more.

Yes. Give us your arrival date and accommodation details when you order and we can send your finished board directly to your hotel, lodge or accommodation anywhere in Japan. Order early so we can schedule the build around your trip.

Yes. Rent a demo directly from the Kōjō, take it to the mountain and find your shape. If you order a new board after your demo, we credit the demo charge towards your board. Demos are also available at Rhythm in Hirafu. Read Ride one first in the Journal.

Yes. Come and see us at the Kōjō in Moiwa. The showroom is upstairs, with the factory below, so you can look at the boards and see where they are made. Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours.

Every rideable Offshore snowboard is covered against defects in materials and workmanship for two years from delivery or collection. Impact damage, rock damage and normal wear are not covered. No registration is required. Your serial number identifies your board and its production history. See the Warranty page for full details and how to make a claim.

Yes, if the damage is repairable. Send us photos, or bring the board to the Kōjō, and we will let you know what can be repaired and what it will cost.
