For years, Tomohito Yamazaki has shaped, built, tested and refined Offshore boards here in Niseko. The kind of knowledge that comes from doing the work, rather than talking about it.

For Yama-san, making a snowboard is a collection of small decisions. Many measured in millimetres. Some by eye. Others simply felt.

That knowledge is difficult to write down.

It lives in the hands.

Yama sees every Offshore as its own thing. A shape with its own character, made for a particular kind of rider.
